A fantastic result for the band at this years 2010 Butlins Mineworkers Championship held at Skegness
Second Place in the Third Section!!
After some hard work with Craig Patterson our MD, Hitchin Band put in a superb performance of the test piece "Diamonds" by Tom Moss.
Although when we first looked at the music we thought "How are we going to stand out playing that", Craigs interpretaion of the piece,
coaching of the band and some individual hard work we put in a winning performance.
The cheers that went up when the announcement was made said it all.
Band Secretary, Tina Berwick, said:
"The band have put in much hard work on the piece over the past few months with players doing a lot of individual
practice as well as together in band rehearsals! We feel the result has proven we have a band that is as good,
if not better than many other bands around and we are looking forward to the regionals in March."
