Macmillan Cancer Relief provides the expert care and emotional support that makes a real difference to people living with cancer. They offer a range of innovative cancer services and are at the heart of improving cancer care throughout the UK.

Hitchin Band also supports this very worthwhile charity, undertaking an annual fundraising concert with them at Christmas. In the past 2 years, we have helped raiser over 10,000 for the charity.

"I've decided to run the BUPA Great North Run, a marathon, on the 18th September (the weekend before the National Finals!!). Of course I'm going to run for charity and I've decided to support Macmillan Cancer Relief because of the great work they do supporting those affected by cancer and their families. I've already started my fundraising which so far has even involved starring in a local Yorkshire newspaper!"
