Hitchin Youth Band

Hitchin Band is a brass band with a tradition of nearly 150 years. But it has never had a Youth Band...until now!

We are continuing to expand! We are a fantastic band of young players, supported by an enthusiastic team of volunteers. In our third year, we continue to hold weekly rehearsals and perform regularly in public.

Congratulations to the winner of the Vice-President's Shield 2011; Jordan Gales (solo cornet). Also to runner-up Florence Tyrtania (tenor horn). Both members showed great commitment to their playing over the last year and have been real assets to the youth band. Well done!"

We also enjoy regular social events.

If you play a brass instrument, or are interested in learning, get in touch. We do have a selection of instruments available to lend out and welcome any player from beginner upwards.

Also, Following visits to four local schools, we are delighted to welcome Edie, Max, Sienna, Sky, Euan, Molly, Benjamin and Jorja to our band!
