Volunteers from Hitchin Youth Brass Band brought music, education, and plenty of enthusiasm to local students at Oughton School last week. A volunteer quartet from Hitchin Band delivered an engaging performance, treating pupils to a mix of well-loved tunes. A Bank Holiday Marathon: Hitchin Band at the Herts Garden Show

Hitchin Band was delighted to return to the historic grounds of Knebworth House this Bank Holiday Monday to conclude the 2026 Hertfordshire Garden Show. As one of Hertfordshire’s premier spring attractions, the event drew thousands of visitors who enjoyed a vibrant mix of gardening displays, craft stalls, and live entertainment. We are delighted to present Hitchin Band’s CD.  The CD was recorded to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the formation of the band. The CD is called “Because” after an arrangement of a song specially commissioned for Hitchin Band’s Solo Horn player, Sarah Gibbons.
