Steven Mead Workshop

On Thursday night this week the band welcomed virtuoso Euphonium Soloist and Clinician Steven Mead to the bandroom to work with musical director Andrew Kershaw on preparing the band for the 2026 Area Contest this coming March. Because – Celebrating 150 years 1866 to 2016

We are delighted to present Hitchin Band’s CD.  The CD was recorded to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the formation of the band. The CD is called “Because” after an arrangement of a song specially commissioned for Hitchin Band’s Solo Horn player, Sarah Gibbons.
